The pgp key signing server (KSS) was written at MIT and described by Jeffrey I. Schiller and Derek Atkins in "Scaling the Web of Trust: Combining Kerberos and PGP to Provide Large Scale Authentication," USENIX Conference Proceedings, January 1995, New Orleans. With support from the Common Solutions Group, we are porting the key signing client to Mac and Windows platforms and providing packaging and documentation.
